Tours From Marrakech To Merzouga in 4 Days!

This trip is perfect for people who want to see the best part of Morocco in just 4 days. Highlights include visiting the famous Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou, travelling along the beautiful Draa Valley, and watching the sunset over the dunes of the Sahara.

Day 1: Marrakech – Ait Benhaddou – Ouarzazatte-Skoura – Rose valley – Dades Gorges

We will pick you up from your Riad/hotel in Marrakech at 8:00 a.m, before travelling over the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2260m) while enjoying superb views of the mountains and of the Berber Villages on the way. Afterward, a stop for lunch will be followed by a tour of the World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou – this famous kasbah was used as a backdrop for more than 20 films. From there, the journey continues through Ouarzazate and onward to the Valley of Roses and the Dades Valley. Finally, we’ll explore Skoura Oasis with its authentic 17th-century Kasbah and The Valley of a Thousand Kasbahs, where an overnight stay in a hotel awaits.

Day 2: Dades Gorges – Todra Gorges – Erfoud – Rissani – Merzouga – Erg chebbi

After breakfast we will depart to the Todra Gorge: a massive fault, rising to 300m in a narrow valley thickstudded with palmeries and Berber Villages. After lunch in the gorge, we will drive further into the desert to Merzouga, where we will stop near the great sand dunes of Erg Chebbi. From here we will take a camel ride (about one hour and a half) in order to get to your Bivouac Tent. We will spend the evening in a bivouac camp, enjoying a Berber dinner and sleeping in a traditional Nomad camel hair tent.

Day 3: Merzouga – Khamlia – Rissani – Merzouga

Wake up to admire the spectacular sunrise in the desert. After breakfast we will return by camel to have a shower in the Riad. We will make a circuit of the desert dunes where you will have the opportunity to see the amazing changing contrasts of the of the desert. We will visit the ‘black village’ of Khamlia to see the Gnawa musicians before having a traditional Berber pizza for lunch in the ancient capital of Rissani. After lunch then we will go back to Merzouga, and check into your hotel.

Day 4: Merzouga – Medilte – Azrou – Fes

After breakfast we will leave Merzouga to Fez via Azrou. On the way we will pass through Erfoud, Errachidia and Medilt. We will stop for lunch in Medilt and stop to see the wild monkeys on the cedar forests of Azrou. We will continue to Fez and arrive in the early evening..
